Kearney Endorsed by IBEW Local 103

Union President: “Kearney has an inherent understanding of working families”

SCITUATE, MASSACHUSETTS – Patrick Kearney, a Naval Reserve Officer, entrepreneur, and
Democratic candidate for State Representative from Plymouth 4th District, was endorsed by the
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 103. In their endorsement, the
union cited Kearney’s strong support for working families and personal understanding of the
labor movement.

The IBEW is Kearney’s third major labor endorsement, joining the Pressman’s Union and
Ironworkers Local 7. In his endorsement letter, IBEW Local 103 President Lou Antonellis
praised Kearney as a candidate with, “an inherent understanding of working families, their daily
struggles, and the constant need for government responsibility in supporting all working people.”

“It was an honor to be endorsed by the IBEW,” said Kearney. “I’m looking forward to proving
President Antonellis right and being an advocate for working families and organized labor on
Beacon Hill,” he continued. “The IBEW has a special significance for me since my uncle, Billy
Lewis, is an electrician and I’ve seen firsthand how much care and effort he puts into his trade.
Fighting for workers like him is one of the major reasons I’m running for State Representative.”

Kearney is a lifelong South Shore resident who serves as an Ensign in the Naval Reserve while
also working in software sales. He is running for State Representative to be a leader on seawall,
coastal resiliency, and maritime issues, while also working to make sure Marshfield and Scituate
get their fair share of local aid and education funding. For more information, please visit
